Life Coaching Success – Life Success Planning

When we take about life success planning in terms of life results coaching we need to stay focused on the goals and the results required by the client. Life coaching is focused on the present and the future, so It is not about the past. Planning to improve your life through coaching is based upon the partnership formed between the coach and the client. No goal is too small or to big for the coaching process. When you tackle a large goal you simply break it down into manageable pieces.

Goal setting is an important aspect for anyone to be successful in the coaching process. Goal setting enables you to achieve results in an organized manner and within the required time frame. Therefore, it is important that life planning goals are set very carefully.

Proper life success planning is needed for goal setting otherwise one can lose their focus and get side tracked. When you have set your goals, you should feel confident about the work you are doing, and you should also prioritize the items are to be fulfilled first. These raise your motivation and self-esteem and you have a positive outlook towards the coaching process and the work that you are doing.

While setting goals or even planning for them, you have to make sure that your goals are SMART.

Smart goals have to be specific and to the point. They need to be measurable and obtainable, as well as realistic and able to be completed in a timely manner. Smart goals give you the advantage of being able to explain them to others and set up tasks to reach them quickly. Vague goals to do not help anyone, so you should be focused and realistic when you go after your next goal.

By having a SMART approach to setting goals will make you identify the loopholes, gauge yourself and help you achieve your goals more easily. These goals can help you reach the results you want from life using concrete steps. One of the keys to life planning is to ensure your goal(s) are based on the OUTCOMES you want in life and not just the “task” you need to accomplish to reach these goals.

What ARE the outcomes you are looking for? Do you need to adjust the way you’ve worded your goals to be focused on outcomes? When you look only at the tasks you can get bogged down in the details and not see the true value of the work required to obtain the results you want from your life planning and goal setting process.
